Al Wilke Park and Community Center

Offering a dynamic space for learning, connection, and outdoor family fun.

Providing Academic Support and Recreational Opportunities

Named in honor of an esteemed Hastings resident, Al Wilke Park and Community Center serves as a gathering place for families, offering various activities for children of all ages. The center fosters community connection, play, and growth.

At its core is the Teen Center, an inviting space for youth ages 13 to 17. In this space, teens can interact socially, receive academic support, and enjoy recreational opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.

During the summer, the center expands its offerings with programs that keep teens engaged and learning outside the classroom. These summer initiatives include field trips and educational outings hosted with organizations such as the County Health Department, the Hastings Library, and Youth Off Drugs and Alcohol (YODA).

A Place for Families to Relax, Play, and Connect Outdoors

Al Wilke Park contains amenities to support recreational and community activities. The park features a multipurpose field, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and a baseball field, providing plenty of space for sports and group games. Families and visitors can enjoy the picnic facilities, a covered pavilion for gatherings, and a playground for younger children.
