Providing Care, Comfort, and Hope
Founded in 2015, Apryle Showers supports individuals aged 30 to 35 who have been diagnosed with cancer, serving residents across Baker, Clay, Duval, and St. Johns Counties. The foundation was inspired by its founder, Apryle Schmidt, who personally faced the challenges of living with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy treatments. It carries forward her vision of providing care, comfort, and hope to those navigating similar journeys.
The foundation focuses on restoring peace, encouraging recovery, and supporting families through its specially designed retreats. Recognizing that a cancer diagnosis can bring fear, depression, physical changes, and emotional strain that extends to loved ones, Apryle Showers offers a compassionate environment where individuals can heal, recharge, and find solace. These retreats, whether hosted in a luxurious waterfront hotel or a spacious condominium, offer participants a peaceful escape from the stress and pressures of medical treatments, surgeries, and daily challenges.
Survivors Encouraging Survivors Through Its Initiatives
Apryle Showers’ initiatives are strengthened by the support of cancer survivors, compassionate donors, and volunteers from all walks of life, ensuring that each retreat delivers not only respite but also emotional guidance and encouragement.
