Serving as a Place of Comfort and Healing for Veterans

Established in 2010 and comprised of a 120-bed facility, The Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans’ Nursing Home remains committed to providing high-quality care and support for our nation’s veterans. Named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Clyde E. Lassen, the home serves as a place of comfort, dignity, and respect, ensuring that veterans receive the medical, emotional, and social care they deserve.

Elgibility

To be considered for admission to the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans’ Nursing Home, veterans are required to provide proof of residency, demonstrate an honorable discharge from military service, and obtain a formal certification of need from a licensed nurse or a physician affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This certification ensures that each veteran has a documented medical or care requirement that aligns with the facility’s specialized services.

Enhancing a Sense of Belonging Through Hobbies and Activities

Beyond medical care, the home is a positive environment where residents can maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Through recreational programs, social activities, and community engagement, veterans are encouraged to build connections, pursue hobbies, and enjoy meaningful experiences that enhance their overall well-being. The facility also collaborates closely with family members, volunteers, and community organizations to establish a supportive network that enhances the sense of belonging for each resident.
