A Convenient Access Point To Scenic Recreation Routes

Cora Harrison Preserve offers a serene yet active setting for visitors looking to unwind or enjoy the outdoors. As one of the trailheads for the Palatka to St. Augustine State Trail, the preserve is a convenient access point to one of Northeast Florida's most scenic recreational routes. A helpful kiosk is available onsite to give visitors directions and information about the trail.

The full paved trail is 12 feet wide and stretches an impressive 19 miles, running from the Vermont Boulevard Trailhead on its eastern end to Palatka. Although it doesn't begin directly in downtown St. Augustine, it's just over eight miles from the city's Plaza de la Constitución to the Vermont Boulevard Trailhead along State Road 207. This stretch lacks a dedicated trail, but the main route is well-suited for those on foot or bicycle.

A Comfortable and Enjoyable Spot For Recreation

Ideal for biking, walking, and running, the trail offers a smooth and scenic experience and ultimately ends at the East River Trailhead in Palatka. In addition to access to the trail, Cora Harrison Preserve includes picnic facilities and restroom amenities, making it a comfortable and enjoyable spot to begin or end a day of outdoor exploration.
