Raising Funds to Support Local Organizations
Founded in 2012, Davidson Cares inspires children and families through impactful programs and strategic partnerships with local nonprofits and educational institutions. Davidson Cares mobilizes resources and raises funds to support numerous local organizations dedicated to education, youth development, family stability, and community well-being.
Among the beneficiaries of Davidson Cares are organizations such as Investing in Kids (INK!), which focuses on enhancing educational resources; Bay Middle School, a public institution serving local students; St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), which provides therapeutic support for children with mental health needs; and Builders Care, dedicated to addressing housing needs.
Other beneficiaries include Community Hospice (offering families healthcare and emotional support), Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center (providing a safe refuge and life skills training for homeless youth), Hope is Restored (assisting families in crisis), and the Five Star Veterans Center, which supports veterans as they reintegrate into civilian life.
Additionally, Homes for HOPE supports families in need of housing stability, and Five Learning Years (FLY) provides early childhood education to establish a strong foundation for future learning. Local schools, such as Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, and Palencia Elementary, also benefit from ensuring that young students have access to resources that foster academic success.
Bolstering Services for Families Facing Housing and Healthcare Challenges
Davidson Cares has raised over $800,000 through its fundraising efforts, channeling these funds into projects that provide shelter and therapeutic care for children and families. These contributions enable the expansion of educational programs, provide resources for homeless and at-risk youth, support veterans and their families, and enhance services for families facing housing and healthcare challenges.
