The Nutritional Services program provides residents with resources and counseling to support healthy eating, combat food insecurity, and reduce the prevalence of nutrition-related conditions like diabetes and obesity.

The Wellness Programs offer screenings, physical activity initiatives, and health education to encourage healthier lifestyles among people of all ages, from children and teens to older adults. The Environmental Programs focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment through services that include water and air quality monitoring, waste management, and food safety inspections.

Preparedness Through Emergency Response & Infectious Disease Services

The Emergency Response Programs also help to fulfill the department's mission. They prepare the community for natural disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and other public health emergencies. These programs ensure the community is ready to respond to crises, promoting public safety.

Infectious Disease Services prevent the spread of contagious diseases within the community. Through vaccination programs, disease surveillance, and rapid response to outbreaks, this program helps protect vulnerable populations and limit the spread of illnesses such as influenza, COVID-19, and other communicable diseases.
