Offering Affordable Healthcare Plans

Florida KidCare offers income-based health insurance for children from birth through age 19, ensuring that every child in Florida has access to quality medical care . The program includes four affordable plans: Medicaid, MediKids, Florida Healthy Kids, and the Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Health Plan.

Each service is tailored to meet the specific needs of children based on their age, household size, and family income. Families can apply year-round, with monthly premiums starting as low as $15 or $20, and minimal copayments, allowing parents to focus on their child’s health and well-being.

Supporting Development Throughout Childhood

Medicaid serves low-income families with children from birth to age 19, providing a full range of health services to ensure consistent care. MediKids is designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 1 to 4, bridging the gap between infancy and school age with ongoing healthcare support.

Florida Healthy Kids offers affordable coverage for school-aged children from 5 to 19, providing medical, dental, and vision care to support healthy development throughout childhood and adolescence.

Encompassing Critical Benefits for Health and Wellness

The Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Health Plan supports children and young adults up to age 21 who have special health care needs or chronic medical conditions, connecting them with specialized providers and services that promote well-being and independence. Florida KidCare’s coverage encompasses doctor visits, emergency care, prescription medications, dental and vision services, telehealth options, and other benefits to support a child’s overall health.

In certain cases, it may also provide access to additional resources, such as after-school programs or items like bedding. Families have access to a statewide network of licensed providers, ensuring that children receive professional, compassionate care and giving parents peace of mind.
