Establishing a Robust Health Network for Uninsured Patients
Good Samaritan’s Wildflower Healthcare, originally Good Samaritan Wildflower Clinic, was founded in 1995 with a compassionate mission to address the healthcare needs of vulnerable and uninsured residents in St. Johns County. Driven by the pressing demand for accessible healthcare services, the organization continues to strive to provide a lifeline for individuals and families unable to afford medical or dental care.
In 2007, the organization expanded its vision with the launch of the Wildflower project, which aimed to enhance its outreach and services. This initiative began with a mobile dental clinic, bringing much-needed care directly to the community. By collaborating with local organizations such as the Emergency Services Homeless Coalition and Anastasia Baptist Church, Good Samaritan’s Wildflower Clinic built a strong network of support and outreach, ensuring its services could reach those in the greatest need.
Recognizing the growing demand for comprehensive care, the organization launched a fundraising campaign to establish a permanent medical facility. This ambitious effort was met with widespread community support, including contributions from New Mt. Moriah Christian Ministry and other philanthropic organizations. Thanks to this collective generosity and the dedication of volunteers and donors, the Wildflower Clinic officially opened its doors in 2010, and was renamed Wildflower Healthcare in 2018.

The Wildflower Clinic continues to support thousands of patients throughout St. Johns County, providing them with much-needed care and resources. The organization focuses on treating illnesses and injuries and emphasizes the importance of education and taking advantage of preventive services.
