A Unique Opportunity for Students to Explore Sheriff’s Office Operations
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office offers the Level Up Teen Academy, a one-week educational opportunity designed for St. Johns County high school students, with enrollment limited to just 25 participants. This immersive experience offers students insight into the day-to-day operations of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, providing a rare chance to learn directly from law enforcement.
Offering Experience for Students Pursuing a Career in Criminal Justice
Throughout the program, participants will explore a variety of law enforcement divisions, including forensics, emergency communications, jail operations, patrol procedures, and more. Students will gain firsthand insight into the skills, responsibilities, and teamwork required to serve and protect the community, making this an invaluable experience for anyone considering a career in criminal justice or public service.
Early registration is strongly encouraged, and applicants must have a 2.7 GPA. Application forms must be completed thoroughly and submitted either in person or by mail to the Sheriff’s Office, or emailed directly to internship@sjso.org.
