Supporting Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities

Founded in 1984, the Multi-Agency Network for Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET) is dedicated to supporting children with emotional and behavioral disabilities and their families across St. Johns, Putnam, Volusia, and Flagler counties. SEDNET works to strengthen the systems of care surrounding students by providing technical assistance, professional training, and resources that promote collaboration among schools, agencies, and families.

Expanding Access to Specialized Services

SEDNET’s support goes well beyond the traditional classroom. The organization offers access to counseling, therapeutic interventions, crisis management, and targeted training for educators and families. By assisting in the development of Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs), SEDNET helps identify each student’s unique strengths and challenges, ensuring personalized support tailored to their learning environment.

In addition, SEDNET promotes proactive strategies for behavioral and emotional development, equipping students with tools to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Through a combination of specialized services, collaboration, and advocacy, SEDNET empowers students to reach their full potential while providing families and professionals with the guidance and resources they need.
