Breaking the Cycle of Addiction

SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is an international, science-based program that operates throughout Canada and the United States. Powered by a network of volunteers, peers, and professionals, SMART Recovery helps individuals break free from the destructive cycle of addiction. By offering free online and in-person meetings, the program provides participants with a supportive community that empowers them to take control of their recovery, rebuild their health, and reclaim their independence.

What sets SMART Recovery apart is its focus on self-empowerment and practical strategies. SMART emphasizes personal responsibility and self-directed change, equipping individuals with the skills and confidence needed to create sustainable, long-term progress. The meetings offer specialized meetings designed for friends and families, veterans, first responders, BIPOC groups, college students, teens, men, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Helping Individuals Resist Relapse and Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle

The LifeSource Group hosts an in-person SMART Recovery meeting every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for adults ages 18 and older. These meetings follow the program’s proven four-point approach, which guides participants through building and maintaining motivation, coping with urges, managing thoughts and behaviors, and creating a balanced and healthy lifestyle. This framework not only helps individuals resist relapse but also supports them in developing resilience and living more fulfilling, purposeful lives.
