Providing Critical Care for Pets
The St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center (SARVEC) is a trusted resource for emergency, diagnostic, and surgical veterinary care, serving the communities of Putnam, Flagler, and St. Johns counties. Staffed by a dedicated team of experienced veterinarians, SARVEC is committed to treating sick or injured pets with the highest level of empathy, expertise, and compassion. Their mission is to provide urgent and critical care when pets and their families need it most.
Navigating the Treatment and Hospitalization Process
Upon arrival, each pet receives a thorough evaluation and prompt treatment based on their condition. If hospitalization is required, SARVEC offers around-the-clock Monitoring and medical care in one of three specialized recovery wards. During the pet’s stay, medication and supportive treatment are administered as needed, and the veterinary team ensures that owners are kept informed with regular updates on their pet’s condition.
Visitation is welcomed and encouraged to support the healing process. Discharges typically occur between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., depending on the pet’s stability and recovery plan. Once discharged, a detailed medical summary is provided to the pet’s primary veterinarian or specialist via email or fax, ensuring continuity of care.
SARVEC remains a compassionate and skilled extension of the pet’s ongoing healthcare team, offering vital emergency services when every moment counts.
