Empowering the Community's Most Vulnerable Residents

Established in 1984 by the St. Augustine Society to combat homelessness, isolation, and vulnerability while promoting wellness, St. Francis Housing Crisis Center has grown into a cornerstone of hope, dignity, and resilience within the community. At the heart of St. Francis’s outreach is its daily meal service, providing nutritious food to anyone in need from 10:45 a.m. to noon.

In addition to meals, guests have access to a computer and technology support, enabling them to search for jobs, connect with loved ones, or complete important applications. The center also provides advocacy and referral services, ensuring individuals receive personalized guidance to connect with community partners, healthcare providers, and social service programs.

Access Services and Benefits with Ease

To further support overall well-being, St. Francis offers services such as showers, laundry facilities, over-the-counter medications, clothing, and self-care items. Staff and volunteers also assist individuals in applying for disability benefits, Social Security, and SNAP food benefits, helping them navigate complex systems with compassion and care.
