Empowering Single Mothers Through Faith, Support, and Opportunity

Established in 2021, the St. Joseph Neighborhood Center (SJNC) was founded with a mission to uplift and support single mothers and their children by providing a path toward stability, independence, and spiritual growth. Recognizing the complex challenges faced by mothers who serve as the sole head of household, often without a reliable support network, SJNC offers a program designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Cultivating Positive Habits and Achievable Goals Through Apprenticeships

At the heart of the program is a commitment to transformation through apprenticeships, mentorship, counseling, and career guidance, all grounded in the teachings of Holy Scripture. The center creates a nurturing environment where women are encouraged to grow in their faith, cultivate positive thinking habits, and set achievable goals that prioritize their well-being and that of their children.

Participants in the 15-month program gain access to parenting classes, mentoring relationships, childcare support, and certification opportunities in high-demand fields such as culinary arts, business, and healthcare. These certifications will lead to sustainable employment with starting wages of at least $15.50 per hour and access to medical benefits, helping mothers build a solid foundation for long-term self-sufficiency.

To apply, interested individuals must complete an application available on the SJNC website and email it to kpaul@sjncfl.org
