Fostering Wellness and Education
W.E. Harris Community Center serves as a gathering place for Hastings residents, offering yearly programs for adults and children. The center’s welcoming environment encourages participation in activities that promote health, learning, and social engagement.
After-school programs run on weekdays for children ages five to twelve. They provide a structured space where kids can socialize, engage in clubs, and enjoy constructive activities after the school day ends. Teenagers between thirteen and sixteen can access an open basketball gym, offering a safe place to stay active and build teamwork skills.
Weightlifting sessions are also available, supporting fitness and strength development for those interested.
Accommodating Community Needs
Additional facilities at W.E. Harris include a playground, a library, a multipurpose field, a computer lab, a weight room, and a dedicated event space. These amenities ensure the center can accommodate various community needs, from recreational activities to educational programs and social gatherings.
