The Willie Galimore Recreation Center offers activities to engage individuals of all ages. Nestled within Eddie Vickers Park, the center serves as a welcoming community space where residents and visitors can gather, play, and relax. 

One of its key features is the public community pool, which provides a refreshing option for families and individuals during the warmer months.

The Willie Galimore Recreation Center offers amenities that support recreation and community events. In addition to the pool, the site features a spacious event and banquet facility suitable for gatherings and celebrations. 

Families can enjoy the playground and use picnic pavilions, grills, and restroom facilities.

Celebrating a Gridiron Great

The center is named in honor of Willie Galimore (1935–1964), a celebrated Lincolnville native known for his achievements on and off the football field. Galimore attended Excelsior High School in St. Augustine and went on to play college football at Florida A&M University. His outstanding athletic performance earned him a place in the College Football Hall of Fame. He played professionally as a running back for the Chicago Bears from 1957 until his untimely death in 1964.
