One of its key features is the public community pool, which provides a refreshing option for families and individuals during the warmer months.

Celebrating a Gridiron Great

The center is named in honor of Willie Galimore (1935–1964), a celebrated Lincolnville native known for his achievements on and off the football field. Galimore attended Excelsior High School in St. Augustine and went on to play college football at Florida A&M University. His outstanding athletic performance earned him a place in the College Football Hall of Fame. He played professionally as a running back for the Chicago Bears from 1957 until his untimely death in 1964.
